Installing for Tammie Rubin’s installation. I painted, drilled holes for flags, hung framed pieces, moved heavy paint-covered pews and lighting. I also installed blind shelving for delicate ceramic pieces onto various parts of the wall and installed delicate porcelain and organic pieces on the pews. I lit everything as well.

Taking a photo with all the installation I did.

Here Shea Little, the executive director, and I are hanging an installation piece by artist Jose Villalobos for the Austin Studio Tour at the Mexican American Cultural Center.

I helped work with artist Christina Moser replicate the Marfa sunset and sunrise. I installed lighting, maintained the perfume in the gallery during exhibition hours and installed all paintings.

Action shot - the curator and I at the Austin Studio Tour opening exhibition where we collected 500+ works from 500+ artists, installed them, I created an inventory, and sold pieces that evening to collectors. This is one of those moments caught on film where I am putting out a fire, one I can’t remember, but in a public facing role, you keep your cool.

Standing in front of the “convenient store” Adrian Armstrong wanted us to build in the gallery. I attached all vinyl and hung paintings. I also single handedly demo-ed the entire structure, saving the wood and nails for the executive director.

Being silly at the LBJ Library and Museum. I am in the belly of the archives, photographing highly reflective jewelry pieces. So we improvised and I covered myself with white cloth to not get a reflection. These images were then used by the Director of Digital Curation to add to TMS and the online archives.

I participated in a newly launched artist residency in Austin, and had to do a promotional video for the new residency and here is our project!

Starting to de-install a large scale installation for Xavier Schipani. I helped paint the full gallery piece with the artist and now it is time to sand the paint and paint over it all for the next show by myself.

I also helped sew the soft sculpture piece in the gallery up until the opening.

I also led the artist talk at the gallery opening in front of a crowd of 100+ people.

I installed a light and paper installation by CDMX artist Monica Vega. She changed the concept and design when she arrived at the space. I was on the ladder tying string, measuring and leveling each piece of paper as she wanted for the entire installation.

Karen Navarro was a difficult install as she had measured out how she wanted the individual resin and photograph pieces set. A lot of the measurements did not match up, so I had to take off the cleats on the multiple pieces and reassemble them. The executive director did help me with this install. Here is the link for the gallery photos.
